Michael Müller

Musician and Instructor

Michael Müller, born in 1986 in Winterrieden, began his musical journey with training at the Krumbach Vocational School for Music under Peter Seitz.
He then pursued studies in euphonium at the Bern University of the Arts and the Lucerne University of Music under Thomas Rüedi. After successfully completing his master’s degree in music education, he graduated in 2014 with distinction from a second master’s program in performance.
During his studies, Michael performed with renowned brass bands such as “BB Bürgermusik Luzern” and “BB Berner Oberland”. Since 2012, he has been a member of “Ernst Hutter & die Egerländer Musikanten – Das Original” as well as the “Kleine Egerländer Besetzung”. Playing tenor horn and trombone, he has enriched the seven-member brass music ensemble “Alpenblech” since 2015.

Michael is a regular instructor at workshops in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. His pedagogical skills are evident in the publication of his award-winning and internationally successful method book, “BRASS TRAIL”, specifically tailored to euphonium and tenor horn players, addressing the unique needs of these musicians. Michael is also a brand ambassador for instruments from the Buffet Crampon Group. He plays a tenor horn by “Melton Meinl Weston” (MAT24), a “Besson Prestige” euphonium, and a “Meistersinger trombone” by “B&S Markneukirchen”.
