“Prima la musica” 2025

The biggest young musicians’ competition in Austria is targeted at all children and young adults who enjoy playing music and competing, as well as those who want to achieve something special in their respective fields. Many winners of Prima la Musica have made their passion into a career and are now active and successful soloists, orchestra musicians or music teachers. All musicians from Austria, South Tyrol and Liechtenstein as well as other nationalities with an official Austrian residency of three years or more can enter. The competition will be carried out on national and regional level. The best contestants in regional competitions will be invited to the national competition taking place from 3rd to 7th march 2025 in the CMA STIFT OSSIACH.

• Soloists for woodwind instruments (recorder, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, saxophone)
• Brass instruments (Trumpet/flugelhorn, horn, euphonium/tenor horn, trombone, tuba)
• Percussion
• Chamber music for piano, accordion, stringed instruments, plucked instruments and vocal ensembles as well as chamber music in open lineup
• Composition
