»prima la musica« and »podium jazz.rock.pop« 2025

The biggest young musicians’ competition in Austria is targeted at all children and young adults who enjoy playing music and competing, as well as those who want to achieve something special in their respective fields. Many winners of Prima la Musica have made their passion into a career and are now active and successful soloists, orchestra musicians or music teachers. All musicians from Austria, South Tyrol and Liechtenstein as well as other nationalities with an official Austrian residency of three years or more can enter. The competition will be carried out on national and regional level. The best contestants in regional competitions will be invited to the national competition.

Scoring categories:

• Soloists for string instruments (violin, viola, cello, double bass)
• Keyboard instruments (piano, organ, accordion)
• Plucked instruments (guitar, harp, chopping board, zither)
• vocal
• Chamber music for redorders, woodwind, brass, and percussion as well as chamber music in open lineup
• Composition
