CREATIVE MUSIC ADVENTURES – Sommerworkshops in the Ossiach Abbey
1.07. - 31.08.2025July and August 2025 – Every Wednesday from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM
With “Creative Music Adventures”, the CMA aims to inspire even the youngest minds with a love for music. Open to everyone who wants to explore the colorful soundscapes of nature throughout the summer—whether with best friends or the whole family. To spark children’s interest in music, it’s crucial to nurture their curiosity and provide them with an active and creative way to engage with it. Through playful experiences, they discover how music connects people and are encouraged to remain open to new auditory experiences in the future. The Carinthian Music Academy (CMA) is committed to fostering this essential first encounter with music and introducing families to the world of sound through three innovative music education programs.

“Klopf auf Holz” – Musical Adventures in the Forest
The forest becomes a world of sound! A guided hike leads participants to different stations where mysterious sounds can be discovered. From alphorns to percussion, children learn rhythms and sounds in a playful way, connecting them with movement. They explore hidden instruments and learn how natural materials like wood, leaves, or stones can be used musically. Participants then craft their own instruments and compose a collective music piece, culminating in an interactive forest concert. This workshop uniquely blends nature and music, igniting creativity and musical talent in both young and old.
Facilitators: Michael Mayer & Stefan Lichtenegger
“Good Vibrations” – Music & Rhythm for All
“Good Vibrations” focuses on rhythm and percussion. Stomping, clapping, drumming on bongos, or swinging Boomwhackers—participants will feel the energy of music down to their toes. Those interested can join a drum circle to create new rhythms with friends. Vocal enthusiasts can explore the “Audience Choir,” learning all about harmonies. These rhythm workshops with percussion and drum circles are perfect for anyone wanting to experience music to the fullest.
