This workshop is dedicated to the characteristic rhythms and styles of polka, waltz, and march. These genres are not only deeply rooted in musical history but also provide an excellent opportunity to enhance ensemble playing and sound balance in orchestras. The workshop offers valuable tips and tricks for implementation in local brass bands.

Topics:
Stylistic characteristics of polka, waltz, and march and their significance in the brass music tradition.

The topics will be explored using the pieces Gloria Patri (March) by Ernst Hutter, Mein Flügelhorn (Polka) by Stephan Hutter, and Wenn Egerländer träumen (Waltz) by Ernst Hutter, performed with the practice orchestra.
